WBJEE Results 2025

West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board (WBJEEB) will announce the results of WBJEE 2025 in online mode on June 2025.  The West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination Board conducted the West Bengal Joint Entrance Exam (JEE) exam in May 2025. The results of WBJEE 2025 will be published in the form of a rank card comprising all relevant ranks of candidates, total score, and component score in the following subjects - Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry. Candidates higher than the WBJEE cut-off will exceed the chances of candidates getting admission to their desired course and college.

The results will show marks of both the papers i.e. Paper I and Paper II in the form of total scores and component scores secured by you in the exam. Please note that only qualified candidates get ranked in the WBJEE exam. Participation in WBJEE counselling depends on marks and ranks secured by qualified candidates.

 Steps to Check WBJEE Results 2025:

  • Visit the official website of WBJEEB.
  • You will have to provide login details i.e. your application number and password to know the results of WBJEE 2025.
  • Rank card along with WBJEE 2025 results will be shown on the screen.
  • Do not forget to download the results (rank card) and do take a print for further reference.

The following details will be mentioned on the results of WBJEE 2025:

  • Marks of Paper I-Mathematics
  • Marks of Paper II-Physics and Chemistry
  • Total scores obtained in the exam
  • The rank of the candidate

WBJEE Merit List 2025

Based on the papers (subjects) that appeared in WBJEE 2025 followed by marks scored, the General Merit Rank (GMR) lists will be published by the Board in the following way:

  • The GMR will be applicable for admission to various engineering courses available in the participating institutes of WBJEE 2025.
  • The merit list will be prepared based on the marks secured by candidates in Paper I (Mathematics) and Paper II (Physics and Chemistry) in WBJEE 2025.
  • The rank will be allotted in descending order of the total marks scored in WBJEE 2025. If two or more candidates secure the same marks, the tie-breaking method will be applied to resolve the tie.

WBJEE Cut-off 2025

WBJEE cut-off 2025 is the minimum qualifying mark that students must score to clear the entrance exam. WBJEEB will announce the cut-off along with the results of WBJEE 2025. Candidates who will obtain the minimum qualifying marks will be invited for e-counselling for admission.

Tie Breaking Rule for GMR

  • Candidates with less negative marks in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry will be considered together and given preference
  • Candidates with more marks in Mathematics and Physics will be considered higher
  • Candidates with more marks in Mathematics and Chemistry will be taken into account together and will be placed higher in merit
  • If the tie persists, candidates with less negative marks in Mathematics and Physics will be taken together
  • Another method to break the tie is for candidates with less negative marks in Mathematics and Chemistry will be taken together
  • Candidates with positive marks in Mathematics for only the 2 marks questions will be placed higher if the tie is not solved
  • The next method to break the tie could be candidates with positive marks in Physics for only the 2 marks questions will be given preference
  • If the tie persists even after applying the above methods. Candidates with more positive marks in Chemistry for only the 2 marks questions will be placed higher
  • The next tie breaker could be candidates with fewer negative marks in Mathematics for only the 2 marks questions will be placed higher in the merit list
  • Candidates with less negative marks in Physics for only the 2 marks questions will be given preference.

WBJEE Counselling 2025

WBJEE counselling 2025 will be organized in the online mode through e-counselling. Candidates having their names in the general merit rank list will be called for the counselling process. Candidates will have to fill in their preference for colleges and courses online. The seat will be allotted to candidates according to their ranking and their choice. A separate notification regarding e-counselling/seat allotment and admission will be published immediately after the publication of the results.
