JEE will start the registration process for the counselling and seat allotment for JEE Advanced 2025 from June onwards. It is to be noted that JEE Advanced 2025 counselling and seat allotment will be conducted in seven consecutive rounds. All the candidates who have successfully qualified in the JEE Advanced examination can participate in the counselling process.
The JEE Advanced 2025 exam is scheduled to be conducted on June 2, 2025. The JEE Advanced Result 2025 is expected to be declared to be notified on June 16, 2025.
The Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) 2025 has been set up by the Ministry of Human Resources Development (MHRD) to manage and regulate the joint seat allocation for admissions to 97 institutes for the academic year 2025-25. This includes 23 IITs, 31 NITs, 23 IIITs, and 20 Other-Government Funded Technical Institutes (Other-GFTIs). Admission to all the academic programs offered by these institutes will be made through a single platform. Students clearing the cut-off marks will be eligible and they will have to follow the following 5 steps for the counselling and seat allotment procedure:
JEE Advanced Counselling | Step 1: Registration
Candidates need to go on the official website and register themselves using their IIT enrolment number and password. Registration is compulsory and free of cost.
JEE Advanced Counselling | Step 2: Choice Filling
Candidates will be asked to select the colleges through which they want to complete their graduation. The colleges should be selected in the order of priority and preference. The most preferred college should be selected first and the least preferred option should be the last one on the list.
JEE Advanced Counselling | Step 3: Provisional Offer Letter & Confirmation Process
Once the student has given their choices, JOSAA will allow the candidate a college depending on his rank.

About IIT JEE Advanced Exam 2025
The JEE advanced exam is scheduled for June 2, 2025, after the JEE mains results are declared in April this year. Over 1, 60,000 students appeared for the JEE Advanced exam this year. Reports, however, suggest that a much lesser number of students appeared for the examination. The JEE Advanced is conducted for admissions in 23 IITs and NITs across the country.
