Recruiting more teachers is a must for the proper and correct implementation of the Right of Children for Free and Compulsory Education (RTE) Act 2009 and hence the enormous task of recruiting teachers has started. The main point to be considered in this big work is the quality and it should not be diluted at any cost. Taking all these points into consideration, the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) has been conducting the Central Teacher Eligibility Test - CTET every year.

Central Teaching Eligibility Test- CTET 2025 is the exam conducted for selecting eligible teachers for KVS, NVS, Central Tibetan Schools, etc. and schools under the administrative control of UT’s of Chandigarh, Dadra & Nagar Haveli, Daman & Diu and Andaman & Nicobar Islands, Lakshadweep and NCT of Delhi. This Eligibility Test will be conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education, Delhi. CTET is conducted twice a year, in July and December. The following is the CTET Exam Pattern.

CTET 2025 Application Form

The application process for the CTET July 2025 Examination has to be done through the online process only. Candidates are advised to apply for CTET Dec 2025 only through the official website of CTET December 2025. i.e, https://ctet.nic.in/CMS/public/home.aspx. CTET 2025 Eligibility Criteria

For Classes I-V (Primary Stage)

  • Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of 2- year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known)

OR

  • Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of 2- year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known), in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure), Regulations, 2002.

OR

  • Senior Secondary (or it's equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of 4- year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.EI.Ed).

OR

  • Senior Secondary (or it's equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of 2- year Diploma in Education (Special Education)*.

OR

  • “Graduation with at least 50% marks and Bachelor of Education (B.Ed)”

“(a) who has acquired the qualification or Bachelor of Education from any NCTE recognized institution shall be considered for appointment as a teacher in classes I to V provided the person so appointed as a teacher shall mandatorily undergo a six month Bridge Course in Elementary Education recognized by the NCTE, within two years of such appointment as primary teacher”.

For Classes VI-VIII (Elementary Stage)

  • Graduation and passed or appearing in the final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known).

OR

  • Graduation with at least 50% marks and passing or appearing in 1-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed).

OR

  • Graduation with at least 45% marks and passing or appearing in 1-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed), in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure) Regulations issued from time to time in this regard.

OR

  • Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of 4-year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.EI.Ed).

OR

  • Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of 4-year B.A/B.Sc.Ed or B.A.Ed/B.Sc.Ed.

OR

  • Graduation with at least 50% marks and passing or appearing in 1-year B.Ed. (Special Education)*.

OR

  • Any candidate having a qualified B.Ed. the programme recognized by the NCTE is eligible to appear in TET/CTET. Moreover, as per the existing TET guidelines circulated vide NCTE letter dated 11-02-2011, a person who is pursuing any of the teacher education courses (recognized by the NCTE or the RCI, as the case may be) specified in the NCTE Notification dated 23rd August 2010 is also qualified to appear in the TET/CTET.

CTET 2025 Exam Pattern

  • CTET 2025 Entrance Exam Conducted Two Paper (Paper I and II)
  • Paper 1 is conducted for Interested Applicant to Join Teacher for Class I to V
  • Paper 2 is organized for Interested Applicant to Join Teacher for Class VI to VIII
  • CTET Entrance Examination Language Mode for Both are Hindi, English
  • Minimum Qualifying Marks for 60% or More
  • Each Paper will be Organized Total 150 Question.

 CTET 2025 Exam Pattern

CTET 2025 Syllabus

  • Paper 1 comprises of 5 sections- Child Development and Pedagogy, Language 1, Language 2, Mathematics and Environmental Studies.
  • Paper 2 comprises of 4 sections- Child Development and Pedagogy, Language 1, Language 2, Mathematics and Science/ Social Studies.
  • Syllabus for CTET will be of Secondary School level. Questions on topics studied from Class 1 to Class 8 of CBSE affiliated schools will be asked.

CTET 2025 Admit Card

CTET 2025 Admit Card will be released as per the notification published on the website of CTET. It will be released in  2025 and can be downloaded from www.ctet.net.in. Particulars on the admit card should match the details given on the confirmation page. Candidates are advised to check all details on the admit card for any discrepancies and report to the authority regarding any corrections.

Click on the tab ‘Admit Card’.

Enter Registration Number and Password

Click on submit after verifying the details on it

Download and print CTET 2025 Admit Card.

CTET 2025 Result

CTET 2025 Result shall be declared on the official website in 2025. Answer Key for both the papers will be released before the release of the result. CTET certificate is generated and sent by speed post for candidates securing more than 60% in the test. CTET Mark statement will be sent by ordinary post to other candidates.

CTET 2024 Cut-Off

The candidates appearing in CTET will be issued Marks Statement. The Candidates securing 60% (General) and above marks will be issued Eligibility Certificate.

School Managements (Government, Local bodies, Government aided and unaided) may consider giving concessions to the person belonging to SC/ST, OBC, differently-abled persons, etc., in accordance with their extant reservation policy.
