GCET 2025 Eligibility Criteria

As per GCET eligibility criteria 2025, candidates must be citizens of India and their age must not be less than 17 years as on December 2025. Non-resident Indians holding Indian passports can apply for seats reserved under the NRI category. The minimum qualification required to be eligible for GCET is passing class 12 or any other equivalent examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects from the Goa state board or CBSE board. In the qualifying examination, candidates must secure a minimum of 45% (40% for applicants belonging to OBC/SC and ST categories). Before filling out the application form aspirants must make sure that they are eligible for the entrance examination scheduled to be held on May 4th and 5th, 2025.

GCET 2025 Eligibility

Nationality: Candidates should be Indian nationals. Candidates who are not having a domicile or citizenship certificate will not be eligible to apply for GCET 2025.

Age requirements: There is no age limit for candidates applying for any engineering program.

Domicile requirements: Candidates must have resided for a minimum period of 10 years. Candidates applying for concession in this must submit proof as specified

Examination Board: An applicant must have passed the Higher Secondary School Certificate Examination of the Goa Board or an examination conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi, or any other examination, which in scope and standard, is deemed to be equivalent to the H.S.S.C. examination of Goa Board

Qualifying marks: Applicant should have passed the Higher Secondary School Certificate (class XII) examination of the Goa Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education or its equivalent examination with English, Physics, and Mathematics as compulsory subjects with one of the following subjects Chemistry/Bio-Technology/Computer Science /Biology, and secured not less than 45% in the aggregate of subjects of Physics & Mathematics with one of the following subjects Chemistry/Bio-Technology/Computer Science/Biology. Applicants belonging to SC, ST, and OBC categories must have secured 40%.
