Gujarat University, located in Ahmedabad, offers a comprehensive range of infrastructure facilities aimed at enhancing the educational experience and overall well-being of its students. Here’s an overview of the key facilities available on campus:
Library: The central library houses over 350,000 books, along with 11,600 e-books and 7,500 e-journals. It subscribes to around 250 printed periodicals and includes smaller departmental libraries for specific courses.
Smart Classrooms: Equipped with modern teaching aids including projectors and digital tools, classrooms are designed to facilitate interactive learning.
Hostel- Gujarat University provides separate hostel accommodations for both boys and girls. Boy’s hostel has a capacity of 550 students with 6 blocks namely A, B, C, D, E, F with single-seated and double-seated rooms. Whereas, girls hostel has a capacity of 196 students with 2 blocks namely A and B with single-seated and double-seated rooms.
Bank/ATM- Since 1972, Gujarat University has provided its employees and students with simple and practical financial services. In 1972, the State Bank of India opened a branch at Gujarat University, which is now operating on campus.
Auditorium- The Gujarat University auditorium is housed in Senate Hall, the campus's administrative structure. An auditorium with 1,000 seats is available at Gujarat University. This hall was built using cutting-edge technologies that meet contemporary international requirements. Modern technology was used in the construction of this building.
Canteen- The Gujarat University Canteen is conveniently next to the university's administration building. Gujarat University provides its instructors, staff, and students with a canteen. The University Canteen serves a wide range of snacks, meals, and drinks all day long.
Amphi Theatre- The "Upasana" amphitheater has been constructed on the Gujarat University campus. In order to promote the performing arts on campus, Gujarat University also hopes to build a 1500-seat amphitheater shortly.
